Orlando Weekend: Natural Sight Seeing

October 30, 2011 – Sunday morning we began our day at Panera bread with some bagels, sandwiches, a coffee and an iced mocha. Our stop for the day was a nature hike at nearby Shingle Creek.  There’s a nice little park there, complete with some herons and a woodpecker.  This is a really walking area tucked away behind a school in a residential area.

Heron And Egret
This Great Blue Heron and Great Egret were enjoying the sun.

Lunch was Bahama Breeze – we’ve never had a bad experience at this one (really, at any of them – except in Philly, avoid if you’re in Philly!), and today was no exception.  Shrimp and grits (the daily special), coconut shrimp and some yummy drinks set us up for the drive home.
